About seven kilometers from New Jalpaiguri, the collision happened close to Rangapani station, forcing two rear compartments to derail. The Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would provide an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh to the surviving relatives of each person killed in the railway accident, as stated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
