    Live updates on the Kanchanjunga Express and West Bengal train accidents: In West Bengal, the Kanchanjunga Express, heading towards Sealdah, collided with a goods train close to the New Jalpaiguri station, resulting in fifteen fatalities and at least sixty injuries. About seven kilometers from New Jalpaiguri, the collision happened close to Rangapani station, forcing two rear compartments to derail. The Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would provide an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakh to the surviving relatives of each person killed in the railway accident, as stated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. The injured will get fifty thousand rupees. President Droupadi Murmu wished the injured a speedy recovery and sent her sympathies and prayers to the bereaved families.
