Bhubaneswar:
The adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across industries has surged dramatically in 2025, marking what experts describe as a “turning point” in India’s digital transformation journey. From banking and healthcare to manufacturing and government services, organizations are rapidly integrating AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, security, and customer experience.
According to a recent report by the National Digital Innovation Council, AI implementation in Indian enterprises has risen by 48% compared to last year. This sharp increase is attributed to growing investments in automation, identity management, cybersecurity, and cloud-based infrastructure.
“2025 is the year when AI stopped being optional and became a business essential,” said Dr. Ritu Varma, a leading technology analyst. “Companies are not just experimenting anymore — they are deploying AI at scale.”
One of the strongest areas of growth has been in Identity and Access Management (IAM), where AI-driven systems are being used to detect suspicious login activities, automate user lifecycle processes, and enhance security protocols. With rising cyber threats, businesses are shifting away from traditional authentication methods and adopting modern SSO, passwordless login, and behavioral analytics.
Meanwhile, several startups in Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru have emerged as key players in the AI innovation space, developing solutions in natural language processing, automated robotics, and predictive analytics.
While the rapid adoption of AI brings immense opportunities, experts caution that the transition must be accompanied by ethical frameworks, skilled workforce development, and strong data governance policies.
“Technology alone cannot drive transformation — people must evolve with it,” said Varma.
As India continues its digital push, 2025 is shaping up to be a defining year in the nation’s journey toward a smarter, more secure, and AI-powered future.
